How can I support you?

How do you like being in the spotlight? The spotlight on wellbeing in the past 12 months has delivered many gifts. I would love to hear from you!  How do you like being in the spotlight? What do you need?

You matter, your wellbeing matters, and everyone is trying their best to figure out how to support each other. Organizations, communities, nonprofits are working hard to minimize suffering. While it has been extremely difficult to navigate the past year physically and emotionally, there are silver linings. Our success moving forward requires our renewal rather than depletion.  How has the attention on wellbeing helped you? How will the attention on wellbeing change our world for the better despite the current challenges that put it in the spotlight?

Here are some “gifts of suffering” I have witnessed and continue to appreciate.

Wellness has broadened to wellbeing at work and home and now includes far more than diet and exercise. With a focus on wellbeing, wellness programs now include stress reduction, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, burnout avoidance information, self-care, self-compassion, bereavement support, resilience, and so much more that will return benefits for years to come and create positive ripple effects through families at home as well as relationships at work.

Innovation has been intensely called forth as the need for creativity, communication, and invention were required to remove barriers to our goals and the achievements have been inspiring.

Flexibility has been strengthened and its presence reduces our stress. Rigidity and resistance cause a significant amount of stress in our lives.

Collaboration & Compassion are keys to survival. Our common humanity was demonstrated again and again as people joined together to support each other to ease suffering.

These are a few of the hard earned gifts of the last 12 months. I welcome you to see as many new gifts as possible in the next several months and applaud your own contributions to making 2021 a wonderful year.  How will you make 2021 a year to remember?
