The past two years have been exceptionally difficult. The Four Quadrants of Wellbeing is a program I have shared with many through 1:1 client interactions, workplace webinars, conference keynotes, and annual meetings. Wellbeing matters and is at the top of all of our minds. What does it mean? How do we achieve wellbeing? Where to begin? Here is a summary.

1) Take some time to Debrief.  Explore what has transpired, what was difficult, what is left behind, what gifts remain from the suffering?

2) Find Relief.  Mindfulness, observing the present moment non-judgmentally, is an antidote to overthinking, worry, anxiousness. We are far too often lost in the past and the future in our thoughts. Find relief in present moment awareness.

3) Acknowledge loss. Grief is a part of life. We all experience losses of many kinds. Who do you mourn? What have you lost? How has this impacted your life and how can you walk the journey of grief while still participating in the blessings of life.

4) Belief in compassion, connection, collaboration which are all the gifts of higher levels of consciousness. These qualities improve our wellbeing. As we strengthen our own ability to have a growth mindset, know that someone’s gain is not our loss, work together for the common good and want to alleviate suffering in ways we can, we create more conscious communities in our work and in our world.
